Can this 24-hour lotion truly keep your skin moisturized all day?
By Deka Abduwahab
EOS has dropped a new shea butter lotion that claims to provide 24 hours of moisture, and since I have severe eczema on my hands during the cold months I decided now would be a perfect time to try it out.
I first went to Target and it cost 10.49 for 16 FL OZ of product I believe that is a great price, especially since there were other similar lotions for almost 20 dollars. Once I finally got home I opened it up and put some of the product into my hand, and the first thing i noticed was the powerful yogurt smell. Because of this I dont think I would be able to bring this to school or out in public in case anyone had a sensitive nose The second thing I noticed was that it made your hands extremely oily once rubbed in, but after 5 minutes the moisture completely disappears and your hands are left feeling like you never put anything on. Because of these 2 reasons, I didn't have a good first impression, but I decided to get a second opinion and let my mother try it and she said “This smells like expired milk”. My final rating for this product is 3/10 and I would not recommend purchasing this. |
Top 10 quarterbacks of all time
By Vincent Prasky
10. Brett Farve: Farve was one of the most dominating passers in the NFL for his accuracy and throw power.
9. Fran Tarkenton: Tarkenton is the leading reason why QBs started running the ball, he was the best QB in the 60s and 70s and would continue to dominate in today's game. 8. John Elway: Elway was looked at as a top prospect coming out of school and his arm strength was a strength and weakness in his game. He was thought to have a strong arm and was incredibly clutch. 7. Steve Young: Young was thought of as a wasted talent at Tampa Bay, he was traded after one season and arrived in San Francisco behind another Hall of Famer in Joe Montana. He got the start in the early 90s and never looked back, winning MVP his first year as a starter. 6. Dan “The Man’ Marino: Marino was known for his elite passing accuracy and his incredibly clutch manor. He was a game breaker and was a problem for every team he faced. 5. Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers was thought of as the little brother to Favre and he didn’t disappoint. He excels in every situation and is an elite passing threat well still being able to move a little for being 40,. 4. Joe Montana: Montana makes his case of being the best QB of the 80s with ease. His chemistry with HOF wide receiver Jerry Rice was like none other and the two had over 6,000 yards and 67 touchdowns. 3. Patrick Mahomes: Mahomes is arguably the greatest of all time. He is the only current QB on this list capable of taking down Tom Brady for the best ever. After winning his third super bowl yesterday he is on track to have more Super Bowl wins than the G.O.A.T 2. Peyton Manning: Manning is one of the best pocket passers in history and is very driven to win QB. He is only missing his ability to run but that didn’t stop him from going to 4 super bowls. 1. Tom Brady: Won 7 super bowls in his career and is the best pocket passer of all time leading multiple teams to a super bowl win. He is simply known as the G.O.A.T: Greatest of all Time |

Lil Uzi
By Robert Feahn
I think Eternal Atake ( Lil Uzi’s album ) is a great album. Definitely deserves 5 stars. It has songs that get you in a hype mood and it has songs that you can listen to when you need a little jam.
Uzi took a very very very long time to drop this album. I think it was around 2 years he took to do this album. He took his time doing this album and it turned out to be a great album. When I listen to Lil Uzi it makes me feel a certain type of way. Whatever mood I’m in, I know that I can just listen to him and it will make me feel better. I’ve always been a fan of him, but this album hit different. I am extremely thankful for Lil Uzi. The best song in my opinion was Lo Mein. It was a pretty good song and I think it’ll go a long way. |

The biggest steals in the 2020 NBA draft
By Moyin Osibodu
Because the NBA draft was delayed from its original June date, many players draft stock has either risen or slipped. This is my opinion on the biggest steals in this year’s draft.
1. Cole Anthony- after being ranked as one of the top players in High School, he was set for a big season at North Carolina. But with a lot of major injuries, he slipped to the 15th pick. I think he will make an immediate impact. 2. Tyrese Maxey- one of the best scorers in the draft, but there has been many questions about his consistency, which caused him to slip to the 21st pick. 3. Vernon Carey Jr.- He was a force through highschool and college at Duke, but there were many questions about his weight which ended up making him fall to the second round. 4. Nico Mannion- had a good freshman year at Arizona, but his efficiency was questionable and he was the 48th pick to the Golden State Warriors. 5. Jay Scrubb- one of the most athletic players in the NBA draft, but because of the competition he played he was one of the last picks in the draft. |

The power of the Dark Side: Top 5 Star Wars villains
By Ben Dittrich
“Star Wars” has been around for 40 years, and thus has dozens of heroes and villains. So, partly because they’re cool, (and because it’s easier), I’m going to list my favorite “Star Wars” villains.
5. Emperor Palpatine While not a physical threat, Darth Sidious works best when he manipulates events from behind the scenes. While he has gotten his hands dirty, he also can turn impressionable young Chosen Ones against their friends and family by promising to save their pregnant wife and do his dirty work for him. Also he is the senate. 4. Darth Maul Maul wasn’t that useful in “The Phantom Menace,” but his appearances in “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels” turned him into an interesting character motivated by his desire for revenge for his near-death experience. His more recent experiences have definitely been among his most memorable, from his takeover of Mandalore, to him getting revenge on Obi-Wan in a truly gut-wrenching way. 3. Kylo Ren The First Order’s answer to Darth Vader, this mysterious Force-user has more going on behind that mask than I originally anticipated. His conflict between the light and dark inside him is incredibly compelling, and his obsession with legacy makes him a worthy successor to Darth Vader and one villain who I can’t wait to see more of in “Episode IX.” 2. Grand Admiral Thrawn A cool and confident leader in the Empire, Thrawn has been close to being the death of the Rebellion many times. His affinity for art has helped him create strategies and counter-strategies for several races and his secret guards are some of the best parts of his character. His design is also pretty cool, and an interesting backstory definitely helps. Honorable Mentions: Dozens of Expanded Universe villains Pre Vizsla Director Krennic Boba Fett 1. Darth Vader Cuz duh. I mean seriously, just watch the hallway scene in Rogue One. |

My top 5 favorite comics
By Ben Dittrich
Comics have become rather popular in the past decade due to franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But what are my favorite? Well I’ll tell you! Even though this is highly opinionated and lacks a lot of professionalism. 5. Injustice: Gods Among Us (DC Comics) (2013-2017) A prequel to the game of the same name, this comic shows Superman’s rise to power after a family tragedy spurs him to take a more proactive approach to protecting the world. The thing that sets this series apart from many other comics is that when characters die, they stay dead. Well that, and there’s no filler arcs on some mundane topic. 4. Green Arrow Rebirth (DC Comics) (2016-Present) After what many consider a poor series during DC’s New 52 initiative, Green Arrow Rebirth brings back everything everyone loved about the Emerald Archer (The Goatee! The Romance! His Liberal-ness!). This series focuses on Green Arrow and his team trying to protect Seattle from a hidden society of villain bankers (it sounds better how they explain it). Keep in mind, with Green Arrow regaining his political side, this comic is not for everyone, and people more familiar with the Arrow TV show will be thrown off by the comics lore. But then again, where else can you find a modern-day Robin Hood fighting Grizzly bear robots on an island that the villains use to produce drugs? 3. Optimus Prime (IDW Publishing) (2016-Present) Following the events of the previous Transformers series and the Revolution mini-series, this series focuses on Optimus Prime (duh) and his team of Cybertronians protecting Earth from new extraterrestrial threats while trying to bring the planet into the Council of Worlds. The art style in this comic is evocative of comics from the 80s or 90s which gives it a retro feel. Despite the title, this comic focuses on characters other than Optimus quite frequently, including Arcee, Thundercracker, and even a few members of G.I. Joe. However, keep in mind this is a sequel series, so maybe read All Hail Optimus and Titans Return, the last two arcs of the previous comic. 2. Star Wars (Marvel Comics) (2015-Present) A few months after the events of A New Hope, the main cast is doing what you’d expect, being a pain in the Empire’s backside. Perhaps this comic’s greatest achievement is that it feels like an organic follow-up to the movie. That’s right, no green space rabbits or sun-crushing superweapons (those both happened by the way). A rather fun element of the comic is how entertaining some of the fights are, like Luke vs. Boba Fett, or Chewbacca vs. Dengar (the guy who looked like he had a diaper on his head in Empire Strikes Back). There’s not much I can say, it’s Star Wars what more do you want? 1. Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye (IDW Publishing) (2011-2016) “The War Is Over. Now Their Ultimate Quest Begins.” For once, a hyperbolic tagline fulfills the hype. The comic claims to have the crew of the Lost Light trying to find a mythical group of Transformers, but really it’s just an excuse to throw a bunch C-List or D-List characters (with a few exceptions) together and have them pretend they like each other (seriously, some of these characters are pretty obscure), but it's still entertaining. But to the comic’s credit, it has turned some of these characters into some of my favorite characters in the franchise. Unfortunately, the series turns the warm fuzzies against you when they kill those characters off in horribly brutal ways. One incredibly positive aspect is how beautiful the art is. So really, if you want a comic where it makes you love characters then horribly maim them, I’d say this is the comic for you. |

Top 5 songs of 2017
By Matt Michalski, Julia Doran & Joey Richison
5. “Bodak Yellow” - Cardi B
Cardi B’s breakout hit as an artist has been one of the most influential songs of the year. Although the song was inspired by Kodak Black, Cardi B’s unique spin on Kodak’s flow has topped the charts and established Cardi B as the most successful female rapper of 2017. 4. “Portland” (feat. Quavo & Travis Scott) - Drake Drake proved his dominance over the rap game with the release of his latest project More Life. Portland is a modern masterpiece from the catchy instrumental to the incredible opening verse from Drake. The song includes features from Quavo and Travis Scott, who have shown incredible chemistry in the past and do not disappoint in their contributions to this song. 3. “Butterfly Effect” - Travis Scott Houston’s most successful rapper Travis Scott had an incredible year, releasing yet another career-defining hit song. After a drought following his second studio album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, Scott released Butterfly Effect as well as two more songs in May. The mesmerizing beat and subtle tone in addition to the use of autotune make for an incredible and original sound. 2. “Humble” - Kendrick Lamar Easily the most anticipated album of the year did not disappoint. Kendrick Lamar’s fourth studio album “DAMN.” sold over 600,000 copies in its first week of sales. This song in particular took the music world by storm when it was released two weeks early as a teaser for the album. Kendrick bodied the rap game with this song in sales along with the message within the song “Sit down, be humble.” Honorable Mentions: Rockstar (feat. 21 Savage) - Post Malone Magnolia - Playboi Carti GUMMO - 6IX9INE Gucci Gang - Lil Pump Bank Account - 21 Savage Catch Me Outside - Ski Mask the Slump God Roll in Peace (feat. XXXTENTACION) - Kodak Black 1-800-273-8255 (feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid) - Logic 1. “XO Tour Llif3” - Lil Uzi Vert This is perhaps the most unexpected hit song of the year. Lil Uzi Vert’s most popular song to date was released in his unofficial project Luv is Rage 1.5. From the swinging, dreary, intoxicating yet upbeat instrumental to his incredible vocals, Uzi created the most captivating song of 2017. The irony within the song stems from the seemingly happy tones of the song, while heavily contrasting the lyrics which speak of Uzi’s problems with his relationship, substance abuse, and loneliness. It’s no question that such an emotionally aware and captivating song deserves the number one spot on the list. |
